World Mental Health Day
I feel lost, yet I'm not alone.
Lonely, but sitting at home.
Feeling down, but I "have it easy".
Want to be touched, but please don't feel me.
My scars are considered offensive.
My body and mind are on the defensive.
Crying every day and yet I'm smiling.
Hiding 'cause they think I'm reconciling
My depression when I'm compromising
To try to be okay & they're just normalizing
My anxiety to try to fit into society.
Took pills, but they're focused on sobriety.
I can't stop what's happening in my brain.
Without help, I can't stop going insane.
I know we all try to conceal,
But I'm telling you this is real.
Remember you're not alone.
You don't have to do this on your own.
